Just a few of the numerous photographs I take whilst out walking, tiny details that can sometimes be missed if we dont take time to stop and look around us.
Greetings and the brightest of Beltane blessings to you!
This is my first Beltane and this Sabbat proper had me all fired up (no pun intended!), not too sure why but am more than happy to go with the flow.
I have been told that a lot of Pagans believe that light follows dark so I started my Beltane celebrations last night.
I made a Beltane Honey cake and it turns out that it is positively delicious as you can see from the missing part where it was sampled whilst still warm, there were appreciative sounds of agreement from the others who sampled too!
I decorated my altar with beautiful blooms…
I even made a Maypole representative with a candle and ribbons….
When it went dark, I had myself a small fire…..
Then it was time to come in and my fire had burnt down to embers, I stood for a moment to watch as the breeze moved across the embers and made the patterns dance…….
I also remembered to leave some cake out for the Fae folk….must remember the Fae!
Today has included a rather wet Mayday dog walk with my children, some time spent with my special Oak and appreciating and identifying the different blooms of the various blossoms that are out and tonight I will burn the remainder of my Maypole candle.
Whatever your plans are, I wish you the brightest of Beltane wishes, x
